Junior Leadership Team
At Whiston Worrygoose, we are proud of our Junior Leadership Team — a group of dedicated and enthusiastic Year 6 pupils who represent the voice of our school community. Each member has shown a real passion for different areas of the curriculum and a strong commitment to making our school the best it can be.
Our Junior Leaders meet regularly to share ideas, discuss improvements, and plan exciting new ways to enhance learning and life at Whiston Worrygoose. They work closely with other pupil leadership groups — including our Eco-Leaders, Wellbeing Leads, and School Council — to make sure that every child’s voice is heard and valued.
As part of their role, Junior Leaders take the lead in specific curriculum subjects, becoming subject ambassadors and developing expert knowledge in their chosen areas. They help to promote their subjects across school, share ideas with staff and pupils, and support initiatives that strengthen teaching and learning. Through this responsibility, they build confidence, leadership skills and a deeper understanding of the curriculum.
The Junior Leadership Team also plays an important role in welcoming visitors to our school. As confident representatives of Whiston Worrygoose, they support school tours, speak knowledgeably about our curriculum and values, and proudly showcase what makes our school such a special place to learn.
The JLT plays a vital role in helping to shape the future of our school. Through teamwork, responsibility, and a love of learning, they are true role models for others and a shining example of what it means to be part of the Whiston Worrygoose community.
