FOUNDATION STAGE TWO
Hello and welcome to the FS2 page. Here you’ll find helpful information about your child’s class and their exciting journey through the Early Years.
In Foundation Stage Two, we focus on creating a warm, nurturing, and playful environment where every child feels safe, valued, and ready to learn. This is a very special stage in your child’s development, where curiosity is encouraged, friendships begin to grow, and the foundations for lifelong learning are laid.
Our days are filled with fun, exploration, and meaningful learning experiences. Through a carefully planned balance of adult-led and child-initiated activities, we support each child to develop key skills in communication, early reading, writing, maths, and much more—all through purposeful play and discovery.
We are passionate about working closely with families to ensure every child thrives. If you ever have any questions, concerns, or just want to chat about your child’s progress, please don’t hesitate to reach out—our door is always open.
Warm regards,
Mrs McCambridge

HOME LEARNING
While we don't set weekly homework tasks for your child to complete we do see the benefits of regular reading, spelling and maths fluency practice. Below is a link to a maths programme that will help improve your child's maths fluency and automaticity (Numbots - suitable for children in EY/KS1). Alongside this, we advise that children read either their decodable book or love of reading book daily and also practice their spellings from the list below.
